Lansing Sailing Club e-Sheet for April 26, 2012

Every Other Sunday "Grill and Sail" Starting THIS SUNDAY April 29 1PM at LSC

All LSC sailors, paddlers and lake peepers are cordially invited to join us for fun Sunday afternoons of sailing, grilling, and grazing on a dish or snack to pass -  hosted by the LSC Wayfarer Fleet. Like an afternoon "up at the cottage", but we're getting the grill fired up for ya - so come jump on a boat and enjoy the season before it flies on by!

It's also a great opportunity to introduce your friends and neighbors to sailing, sailors, boats, and the food that goes with them.
Sunday racing will be ongoing “every” Sunday at 1pm, so opportunities to participate in or learn about racing will be available to "Grill and Sail" folks as well.

Start off the season right and come by this Sunday at 1pm - it will be, as of now, mostly sunny, with a high near 51.  If it isn't snowing or blowing the birds out of the trees, the grills will be on!!

Upcoming regattas at LSC

The Melges 17 fleet will be hosting their Spring Regatta on May 5-6.  Some additional help will be needed to coordinate lunch and help out with on-shore activities for visiting sailors. (Saturday 9 AM – 3 PM, and Sunday 9 AM- 1 PM).

The Lightning Fleet will be hosting their 1-day regatta on Saturday May 12.  Each of the primary activities has a captain assigned, but there is always some help needed to help host the event – if you want to help out on that day, let us know and we will get an assignment for you.

If you can help out please call John LeFevre at 517-256-6447 or by e-mail at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. .
