43rd Annual "Tune Up" Regatta
Lansing Sailing Club, Haslett, MI

One-day format!

Less than a 2 hour drive from
Bay City, Holland, Pontiac, North Cape, Crescent, Higgins Lake, Devils Lake
or just about anywhere in the Lower Peninsula!
3.5 hours from Chicago!

Sparty says...Attention former Spartans. Come on back to East Lansing for a visit. The top scoring boat with an MSU alumni in the boat, crew or otherwise,

will be awarded the MSU ALUMNI CUP.

Events on Saturday

8:30-10:00 am Registration/setup, coffee, juice, donuts
10:00 am skipper's meeting
10:30 first race, followed by 2nd race
Lunch break
Races 3-6* (no race to start after 4 :30 pm)
Trophies and prize presentation following last race, beer, pop and refreshments at clubhouse
Join us for dinner at a local restaurant.

*if 6 races are sailed, 1 will be throwout and 5 will count

Registration:

$25 registration per boat, $20 for Lightning Class Members $15 extra includes continental breakfast and lunch for skipper and crew. Hot Chili and cornbread for lunch. Yum! Total $40 for registration and food total - Lightning Class members $35 Won't you please RSVP if you plan on coming? It would really help us with planning. RSVP to bfseverin@hotmail.com

is available - call or e-mail early to reserve your housing needs, many configurations, including beds, some within walking distance to club, most within 5-10 min.

Required Mumbo Jumbo:

This regatta is open to Lightning sailors and will be governed by the current Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS); the prescriptions of the United States Sailing Association; the Rules Governing all Sanctioned Lightning Class Championships; the Sailing Instructions; and any amendments thereto.

Coming from the East on I-96:
Use Exit 110 from I-96 (Okemos Road). Go north on Okemos Road until it ends at Lake Lansing Road. Turn Right and go east on Lake Lansing Road to the first stoplight (Marsh Road). Turn right and go South one block to Lake Drive. Turn left and go east on Lake Drive. Follow Lake Drive about a third of the way around Lake Lansing to the Lansing Sailing Club.

Coming from the South on I-69:
Follow I-69 around the west and north side of Lansing. Use Exit 94 from I-69. At the second traffic light (Marsh Road), turn left (South). Go south on Marsh Road through several traffic lights. After the light at Lake Lansing Road, continue going South one block to Lake Drive. Turn left and go east on Lake Drive. Follow Lake Drive about a third of the way around Lake Lansing to the Lansing Sailing Club.

Coming from the East on I-69:
