X = 100 + 5 (N - 1) - (100 + 5N) (P - 1) / NWhere:
N = Number of boats finishing the race
P = Boat's finishing position in race
X = Points awarded for that finish in that race
- A Laser skipper must sail in at least 50% of all races run to qualify for a LSC season series award.
- Each skipper's best races equal to the number of 50% of all series races sailed will be counted for season scoring purposes.
Example:
Twenty two races are sailed in a series. Eleven races are required to qualify for participation in the series. Skipper Smith sailed in 17 races, which qualifies him, and his best 11 races out of the 17 races he sailed in are used to compute his series final standing.
