Junior Sailing July 25, 2006
After last week's racing orientation, this was the first night of Junior Racing. Our goals tonight were
Improve sailing to windward by pointing close to the "no go zone".
Avoid sailing past the "layline".
Let the sail out all the way downwind.
Sail "in the box" during the pre-start so that starts can be better.
The sailors did very well in meeting these goals and are making rapid improvements. Coach Quensen and dad Michael-Soloman Jost rigged their Sunfish and joined in the racing. The Juniors gave them all they could handle. Here are the results.
