Junior Sailing July 11, 2006

Our goal tonight was to sail our boats across the lake to the County Park, make a stop at the Cone Zone, and sail back. The boats were rigged faster now that everyone is getting more experienced. We launched and headed out. Close to shore there wasn't much wind - but out in the lake there was a nice gentle breeze. This group is getting more and more confident in the boats and quickly found themselves coming in to the County Park.

At the Cone Zone, we mapped a plan to sail back - this time knowing that we would need to tack to reach our destination. Coach Moody promised to demonstrate his "Laser Propulsion" technique - and also promised that if Cody could get to shore using this technique, the Coach would "sail on his head".

Everyone did a great job. Did Coach Mike have to sail on his head? Check out the pictures to see.
