Thirty-two sailors competed in the 2004 "Spartan
Singles" Regatta. Eighteen were mid-west collegiate sailors
and the remainder Michigan Laser sailors - including two junior sailors.
was a great success. The goal of the Regatta is to provide collegiate sailors
with an opportunity to prepare for their upcoming single-handed championship
by having a large fleet of racers, including some of the best area sailors,
during a Saturday session. On Sunday, the collegiate sailing division competition
concluded with Saturday's collegiate order of finishes carrying over for
scoring purposes.
