Lake Lansing Celebrates July 4th
The Lake Lansing Property Owners Association sponsors several activities on the Fourth of July. Boat Yard Wars starts the day. Teams are given materials at 8 AM and have until 1 PM to build a boat. None of the teams know what materials they will be given until they pick them up on the Fourth. At 1 PM, everyone shows up at the Hickory Island Sand Bar to race the boats. There are three races: kids, women and men.
