Among the local sailors were Bob Miller in 137205 (third boat from the left), Dave MacKenzie, hidden behind the sail in 19623 and Blaine Severin in 159941 who is trying to roll the group.
George Siegle of East Lansing included a first and a
second among his finishes after recovering from a broken mast.
Doug Carlson of Okemos, who finished fourth overall, included a first place finish in race three. Here he is in 166155, rounding the leeward mark on his way to the finish line.
Mike Moody, shown with his spartan green boat, has been putting in a lot of time recently drilling with MSU sailors to help build their Laser sailing skills. He was very proud of how well they sailed.
Olav Messerschmidt had a solid day of sailing, including a fifth, two sixths and a seventh.
