Membership Dues/Fees Statements Going Out

It's Not Too Late to
Give the Gift of Sailing

Requests for 2008 Race Committee Sign-up will begin soon.


It's that time of year again when the Lansing Sailing Club asks members to cough up dues and fees for the upcoming sailing season.

Statements will be going out by email over the next several days. Please be on the lookout for them.

February 10 is the usual deadline for paying dues and fees, but this year there are two special exemptions. Since February 10 is a Sunday, members have until Monday February 11th to pay. Also, members who want to attend "Dues Amnesty Night" at Spagnoulas on Wednesday, February 13th can pay in person.

"We just had a meeting of Junior Sailing parents to begin planning the Junior Program for 2008," said Commodore Pat Dolan, "and are hearing from others about sailing related activities they are up to. So we know there is beginning to be some excitement in the air about sailing."

Members who don't receive their statements in the next several days, should contact Commodore Pat Dolan by email at commodore@lansingsailing.org.

Strictly Sail Chicago Coming Up Jan 31 - Feb 3

A favorite event for some Lansing area sailors is Strictly Sail Chicago. This is an all sailing show on Navy Pier with great seminars, boats and sailing gear.

Chicago is a wonderful place to shop, go to museums, see the sights, have a great meal and more - plus participate in Strictly Sail.

Wednesday, Feb 13 Dues Amnesty Night at Spags

Although the deadline for paying dues is February 11th this year, those who put this off can still meet the deadline by going to Spagnoula's for "Dues Amnesty Night" on Wednesday, February 13th from 7 PM to 9 PM.

Even if you have paid your dues, come to Spags and spend some time with your sailing friends.

You will also be able to sign up for Race Committee Duty. What a deal.
