Messerschmidt Rules |
|
|||||
Not only did Olav Messerschmidt lead all Laser sailors in Wednesdays racing, but he was on the prevailing side of the rules quiz at Spags later in the evening. Olav started with a fourth, but won the next two races and finished second in the last race of the evening. Doug Carlson sailed solidly too, winning the first and last race while finishing third and second in the middle races. George Siegle and Mike Moody were also on their game in a tough highly variable wind day. George went 3-2-3-6 while Mike went 2-4-4-3. Bob Miller had one of his best nights of racing, scoring 6-5-10-7. Three women were among the Laser sailors. Leading the women was Susanna Tellschow, whose total score of 29 (7-7-5-10) was one point better than Ann Siegle's 30 (5-11-6-8). Courtney Thompson, new to Laser racing, continues to improve.
