Don't Forget the Noon Picnic July 4th at LSC |
How fast the summer is going. Let's get together on July 4th, picnic and sail. The picnic will start at noon followed by some on-water fun activities. Bring a dish to share. LSC will provide brats, hot dogs, soft drinks, paper and plastic goods.

Put July 23rd Small Boat Clinic on Calendar |
On Saturday, July 23rd, there will be a small boat clinic at the Lansing Sailing Club from 9 to 5. The day will be devoted to a combination of instruction, demonstration and practice using specialized drills - with an emphasis on the practice. This is a great opportunity to improve your sailing skills - or to refocus and refine skills you already have.
We have some new video to show good Sunfish and Laser sailors displaying various boat handling and tactical skills - with commentary by a world class sailor. Plan on joining in. |
No Sunfish and Laser Racing to Report |
A good crowd of sailors turned out Wednesday, only to find very flat water and not enough wind to race. We didn't want to wait around for the front to go through - so it was off to Spags. The Race Quiz was easy.

| Want to Move To a Different Parking Space? |

With membership changes and for other reasons, there are some open spaces. Members may want to move to one of the open spots.
There are three spots open in the Laser-Sunfish Assigned Parking area between the covered rack and the sail shed. These spots are 205, 207 and 212.
There are also several Lightning spots available in "Lightning Row". They are 107, 113, and 115 through 120.
