Jolene
Ann Northrup to the Foredeck |
Sometimes
it takes a couple of weeks for us to catch up with important
events. Larry Koster passes on the exciting news that
John and Jolene Northrop (we know her as Jolene Johnson) are
proud parents of a daughter: Jolee
Ann Northrup. "Our Mother's Day treasure was born on May 9,
2004 at 8:06 A.M.. She weighed 9 lbs. 4 oz. and was 21 inches
long" said the announcement. Larry reminds us that
"Jolene was a terrific foredeck
person aboard his (Koster's) Fubar some 5-6 years ago and was
a regular in Wednesday evening Laser racing as she finished
up her advanced degree work at MSU. The petite Jolene could
set and handle the gybe of the spinnaker pole from the cockpit
of the Lightning and is a very competitive sailor. Jolene also
crewed with Pat Dolan and Mike Moody a few years ago in the
Nashville, Tennessee Lightning "Blue
Nose" regatta.
Jolene and husband John sail their Lightning in the San Diego,
CA area." |
