Olav Messerschmidt is Hot

With two first place finishes and two fourths, Olav Messerschmidt had the hot hand among the eleven Laser sailors yesterday evening on a great night to sail. There was wind all evening and there was no difficulty getting in four racers sailing a modified olympic course. Most of the group even stayed on to sail a fifth race - just for fun.

The impact of Saturday's clinic was in evidence - with very competitive starts, crowded mark roundings and some bang-bang finishes. Mike Moody was sailing well too. After suffering an unfortunate tie up with another boat in race one which kept him out of the running, Mike went on to score a first, second and third.

The Siegles both had good nights on the water. Commodore Ann Siegle came away with two third place finishes to show for her efforts. Spouse George had a first and two seconds.

Results and standings are available from the Race Results page of the LSC web site at www.lansingsailing.org.

Harrison and Fishbeck Lead Sunfish Sailors

Neil Harrison and John Fishbeck each had two first place finishes and a second in Sunfish racing Wednesday evening. Dave Vietti had two second place finishes and two thirds.

Results and standings are available from the Race Results page of the LSC web site at www.lansingsailing.org.

Crews Control Tonight

Don't forget tonight's crew races. Three Lightning races are planned with the first beginning at 6:30. This is LSC's annual opportunity for crew members to drive the boat while the skipper assumes a supporting rule. Report on the water.
