Dolan and Moody Win
Mike Moody got Terry Kleiman on board to crew Sunday (July 14) and scored a second and two firsts to lead Lightning sailors. Ten Boats participated on another beautiful Lake Lansing Sunday. Winds were a little light occasionally, but the sailing was very close. The race committee was challened several times by finishes that almost required a photo finish analysis. Pat Dolan, sailing with Stacey Kotecki, took the other first place. Click here for a link to more details and complete results.

Women Sailing Day Monday (July 22)
Calling all women sailors. Mark next Monday, July 22nd on your calendar. Come out and sail. Enjoy an evening of fun on the water. For those who don't have much (or any) experience, there will be instruction available. For associate members, there are three club sunfish and a club laser available. In addition, several Laser sailors are making their boats available. We'll have a safety boat on the water to provide help and support for the various activities.

Crew Takes Helm July 25th
Lightning Skippers: Get your crew ready for "Crew Takes the Helm Day" on Thursday, July 25th. There will be three races beginning at 6:30 PM. Check in with the race committee on the water.

Wednesday Racing Tight
Wednesday racing remains very tight. Again this year there are a lot of sailors on the water and planning to qualify for a trophy. There are plenty of opportunities to move up in the standings. Still a lot of Wednesday evenings to sail. Welcome back Joel Shapiro - we know you will add to the close contests. Click here for links to complete results and standings.
