Getting Ready for Regatta - Siegle, Carlson and Moody Shine
With the Lake Lansing Laser Regatta coming up this weekend (first race begins at 10:00), George Siegle, Doug Carlson and Mike Moody were showing they are ready to compete at the top of the fleet. These three each had first, second and third place finishes in racing last night (Wednesday). The weather was great, and with a backing wind, marks were moved between each of the first three races. Arriving at the race course, the wind was 12-15 but slowed to 6-8 for the first race. Then the velocity came back with a 20 degree shift and began having an impact. There were several capsizes. Ken Knight lost a tiller during one capsize and had to retire for the evening. Except for Ken's equipment loss it was a fun night - and very competitive. Details and results soon from the "Scoring Guy". Click on "Race Results" from the home page at www.lansingsailing.org. |

Chesbro, Fishbeck and Bohl Lead Sunfish Sailors

Maribeth Fletcher had a second place finish. Details and results soon from the "Scoring Guy". Click on "Race Results" from the home page at www.lansingsailing.org. |
