Emergency: Regatta Help Needed for Saturday
For this Saturday's Lightning Regatta we need 2 volunteers for Race Committee Duty, a volunteer to round up some door prizes and someone to fill in for the Regatta Chairperson who is dealing with an emergency. Please contact Fleet Captain George Siegle as soon as possible if you can help. |

Lightning Regatta This Saturday
Calling all Lightning Skippers and crew. This is your weekend coming up. Don't forget to get out and race in the Lake Lansing Lightning "Tune Up" Regatta. 8:30 Registration, 10:00 AM Skipper's Meeting, First race at 10:30 AM. No race will begin after 4:00 PM. Cold Weather Strikes Lightning Racers Again
It was cold, rainy and windy for the 2nd Sunday of Lightning Racing. One by one, the weather took it's toll. Pat Dolan's "Wind Dancer" held off a charging "Fins" to win the first race. George Siegle took race 2. By then one crew was at the dock baiiling out and a second crew was recovering from a capsize with spinnaker flying. Discover Racing Starts Monday
The 2002 edition of "Discover Racing for Adults" is just around the corner. It starts Monday, May 6. This is a class offered by LSC through Community Education on Monday evenings beginning May 6 for 5 weeks.
